Pars end Stranraer run

Stranraer slumped to their first defeat in six games after Dunfermline scored twice in the second half to record a 2-1 victory at Stair Park.

The Blues took the lead after 11 minutes through Jamie Longworth. The striker latched on to a Mark Docherty pass and fired past Ryan Scully, beating the keeper at his near post.

Dunfermline equalised three minutes into the second half through a glorious Stephen Husband free-kick. The midfielder whipped the ball over the wall, past David Mitchell into the bottom right-hand corner.

The visitors then took the lead after 69 minutes through Joshua Falkingham, who struck a pacy right-footed effort from the middle of the box past Mitchell into the bottom-right corner.

The home side were unable to respond to the Pars' second goal and Dumfermline looked more likely to increase their lead rather than allow the Blues to extend their unbeaten run.
