Going down 2-0 for the second time this season against a poor Livingston side under a cloud of inept tactics and passion-less displays, the Pars now sit rooted to the bottom of the SPL, with little sign of any hope of survival.
Still John Yorkston remains optimistic, "There will be no discussions over the managers position this season. Nothing has changed - it's business as usual here."
"Managers are always under pressure when teams are at the bottom of the league. Obviously it's a concern because we are running out of games but if we win at home to Dundee next Saturday then we could climb up to 10th. The league is that tight."
"It is certainly in our hands. I cannot deny it's a serious situation but we are not just relying on others for survival. You can see we are short of confidence but we are still fighting to stay in the league."
'Fighting to stay in the league'? You could have fooled me! The performance yesterday was one of the most gutless performances I have ever witnessed as a Pars fan. We may have been rank rotten at times under Bert Paton or Dick Campbell but at least we knew the players would give 110%. Yesterday was an absolute utter embarrassment!!!
I've lost count of the number of opportunities Yorkston has had to give Hay and his cronies the boot this season, but refusing to get rid of them at this point - with absolutely no fight left in the team whatsoever - stinks of incompetence or a downright failure to admit a mistake. Sorry John, but you've certainly lost my respect as a Pars fan!!!
Plain and simple Mr Yorkston...if Hay et al are still in charge come August when we are preparing ourselves for an assualt on the First Division then I -despite having only missed a few Pars games in the last three years - will almost certainly not be renewing my season ticket!!
