Time to do La Bamba?

With the season now only a couple of days away, Jim Leishman is looking at yet another defender. While no-one can doubt that trialist Soulemayne Bamba has done well, do we REALLY need another defender? The last 3 results (all be it pre season friendlies) all have one thing in common. Not one goal scored by a Dunfermline player.

Noel Whelan simply isn't fit, yet still has seemed to impress Jim judging by the comments he made post match. The journeyman looked overweight, slow and was generally very poor at the game. Another trialist striker, Keith Shevlin, was on trial at Dundee and still didn't do enough to earn a deal there, at a lower league club.

It really looks like the last piece of the jigsaw is a striker. We seem to have a solid defence, couple of decent keepers and a midfield that works hard(although may not be creative enough). But up front there are no other options to back up Burchill and McIntyre.

Sort it out Jim!
