Antti Sumiala in action for his country
Finnish striker Antti Sumiala is soon to arrive at East End on trial as the Pars search for a solution to their striking problems continues.

The 30 year-old internationalist - capped 38 times by his country - will join the Pars later this week after his original trial period (earlier this week) was postponed due to illness.

The well-travelled striker's list of former employers includes Ducth First Division outfits FC Twente, NEC Nimigen, Belgian sie Lokeren, and the striker's last club, FC Vaduz of Lichtenstein.

Elsewhere on the striking front...the Pars are in talks with Georgi Hristov's agent about a possible deal for the Macedonian striker after the ex-Barnsley player impressed in his recent trial period at the club.

Whilst, in other news, the Pars have begun contract negotiations with midfielder Gary Mason and back-up keeper Jamie Langfield with both players' contracts set to expire at the end of this season.
