Yorkston is set to be quizzed by the SFA
The Scottish Football Association has confirmed that Pars Chairman John Yorkston will be asked to explain his weekend comments regarding Bobo Balde.

After claiming that Bobo Balde caused more injuries than the plastic pitch - a supposedly tongue-in-cheek statement - Yorkston will now be meeting the SFA on the 17th of February to explain his comments.

An SFA spokesman said: "There are a number of issues here so we have written to Mr Yorkston. We will await his comments prior to the meeting on February 17th."

Chairman John Yorkston insists he has done no wrong, saying: "It was meant to be a joke and everybody who heard the interview would have been taken it as a joke. Bobo Balde just happened to be passing when I was doing the interview, it could have been any player."

"I hope that this is cleared up quickly and I will fully co-operate with the SFA."

Congratulations must be in order for the SFA with regards to the speed that they have dealt with this situation. At least we now know the SFA's true priorities in the sense that out-of-turn tongue-in-cheek comments must be dealt with immediately but bigger problems such as sectarianism and bigotry can be left alone for just now.
