Scott in action against the Pars in a pre season friendly.
Queen Of The South right-back Chris Scott has returned to the First Division club after the Pars were unable to offer the youngster a contract due to the ongoing financial restrictions at the club.

The ex-Sunderland defender joined the Pars on trial two weeks ago and had, by all accounts, impressed the Pars management team in his trial period at the club.

However, the financial restraints at the Pars have dictated that Scott is not to be offered an extended contract at East End and will return to the Palmerston Park club.

Although, with Greg Shields and recent debutant Greig Ross more than up to the job of filling the right-back slot, the news of Scott’s departure doesn’t provide any real reason for panic at East End Park just yet.
