PARS TAKE BUTLER ON TRIAL

After a very poor start to the season, which see's the Pars sit bottom of the league and out Europe, Davie Hay has taken ex-Sunderland winger Thomas Butler on trial.

A free agent - after being released by Sunderland at the end of last season - Butler will be able to join the Pars outwith the transfer window should he impress the Pars coaching staff.

With a lack of wingers (and left-footed players) at the club, the move does seem sensible, however one could be forgiven for wondering why the management team have not made moves to sign a striker to solve the goalscoring - or rather lack of it - problem.

Chairman John Yorkston has also stated that the Pars have taken two further players on trial to the club.
