No Dons Move For Wilson

Despite an inquiry by Dons manager Jimmy Calderwood it has been confirmed that club captain, and centre-half, Scott Wilson will not be leaving the Pars…for the time being at least.

Former East End gaffer Jimmy C told north-east paper The Press and Journal (or P&J) that he had made an inquiry about signing the big centre-half however a move would 'not be happening'.

It is believed that Calderwood, and Aberdeen, backed down after it emerged that any move for Wilson would have to be accompanied by a transfer fee, something which the Dons - along with most sides in Scotland - would struggle to offer in the current climate.

Pars boss Jim McIntyre has stated his desire to keep the 30-year-old defender at the club, declaring him a 'valuable member of the squad' and one of the club's best players.
