It has emerged that the 17 year-old son of the legendary Argentinian player will arrive in Dunfermline today (Wednesday) before training with the squad on Thursday and Friday.
The youngster who arrives from Italian club Napoli, has agreed financial terms with the Pars through his representatives.
However the club have insisted the final decision is purely based on his footballing ability and is entirely down to Davie Hay.
Earlier in the week it appeared as though Maradona would join Blackburn on trial, however the youngster failed to turn up, citing injury as the reason.
Maradona Jnr will also be joined in training by 23 year-old Italian Emanuele Catania, the Consenza striker also joining the club on trial.
It also rumoured that an unnamed Slovakian player will be joining the Pars on trial over the course of the coming weekend.
