JOHN ROBERTSON LEAVES HEARTS

The shortlist for the Pars managers job continues to grow with the news that Hearts boss John Robertson has resigned from his post at the Tynecastle club.

After a period of uncertainty - not helped by the scandalous behaviour of the Hearts board - Robertson left his job earlier tonight after being all but pushed by the recent Lithuanian takeover team.

A favourite for the Pars managers job before he had left the Edinburgh side wee Robbo will surely now be one of the hot favourites as the Pars look to appoint the man to rescue the club from this season's shambolic performances.

Having been named as a candidate for the job last summer - although never formally mentioned by the club - Robertson can also have claimed to have worked with Jim Leishman, when the two were at Livingston together.

With Robbo having performed excellently at Caley Thistle before doing well in his short period of time as Hearts boss, despite numerous restrictions, I'm sure many Pars fans would certainly not mind seeing him at the helm at East End.
