JIM LEISHMAN APPOINTED MANAGER

The Second Coming!!!
Fifteen years after being unceremoniously turfed out by an unscrupulous Pars board Jim Leishman has returned to the East End Park hotseat on a permanent basis.

After Leish's temporary appointment brought about a magnificent 5-0 win against Dundee and Sunday's glorious victory at Tannadice, the Pars board have moved to secure the Messiah on a permanent basis.

Although Jim will work as manager on a 'non-contract basis' this will not act as a temporary appointment as it were, simply until a new manager is appointed. The non-contract is quite simply a sign of Leishman's respect for the club, and vice-versa, with Jim insisting that he would know when to take a step back if all wasn't going to plan.

The impact of Leishman's return to the hotseat two weeks cannot be underestimated with Pars fans returning in droves to support the team both at home and away in the last two weeks. Bringing the feelgood factor back to East End Park highlighted just how Jim is thought of around 'these parts'.

And although an impressive list of candidates were lined up for the vacant managerial post, I'm sure the vast majority of Pars fans will be delighted with the decision to reinstall the Leish as manager on a permanent basis.

This was also seem to indicate that Leishman's temporary assistants Craig Robertson, Hamish French and Scott Y Thomson - whose role in the recent revival should certainly not be ignored - will also remian in their roles at the club.

Let's hope that we get to see alot more of 'that celebration' in the months and years ahead. WELCOME BACK LEISH!!!
