Macedonian striker Georgi Hristov's transfer to the Pars has finally been completed after his appeal for a work permit was granted.

After an initial application for a work permit was turned down, manager Davie Hay, Directior Jim Leishman and Finance Director Frank McConnell attended a tribunal at Hampden Park today (Friday) to appeal against the decision.

Shortly after 2pm Jim Leishman confirmed that the work permit had been granted and Georgi was now officially a Pars player. Georgi will however be travelling back to Macedonia tomorrow to tie up a few loose ends but, all going well, the striker should be set for his debut against Celtic in the Scottish Cup next Sunday.

On completion of the deal manager Davie Hay said: "Obviously we're delighted. Alot of credit must has to go to Jim and Frank. He's got to go back to Macedonia to sort out a few things but, put is the way, if all the formalities are sorted then he'll be in the squad (against Celtic)"
