FH HAFNARFJORDUR REFUSE TO PLAY AT EAST END

After inspecting the East End plastic the Icelandic outfit FH Hafnarfjordur have refused to play the second-leg of the UEFA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round at East End Park.

The Pars 'home-leg' now looks set to take place at McDiarmid Park, Perth, - a tad more expensive and time-consuming to get to than East End would be!

It has to be said that this decision by FH is perfectly understable though seeing as the pitch at East End is nothing short of diabolical! Having played on the pitch three times and come away with severe cuts and grazes every time I would certainly not endorse it for SPL games nevermind UEFA Cup ties!

Seeing as FH will most likely play their home game at the Icelandic National Stadium instead of their own, it only seems fair that we should entertain them at a stadium with a pitch slightly better than surface at East End!
