Dunfermline V Raith at East End Park - Match Preview

Dunfermline new boy Callum Morris is in line to play in the Fife Derby against Raith after the former Newcastle youngster strolled through his debut against Montrose in midweek.

Alex Whittle is a doubt after twisting an ankle in training on Thursday and there is still no place for Ryan Thomson, who has missed the last two games due to off-the-field issues.

Pars assistant boss Gerry McCabe said: "This is a big game and it is great to be going into it on the back of two wins. Callum looked very assured on his debut and he has a great ability to build attacks from the back.

"Raith are flying just now as well so this should be a cracking match."

Raith will give Laurie Ellis until close to kick-off to prove his fitness to face Dunfermline.

The experienced defender is a doubt after he picked up a back injury in Tuesday night's 4-1 win at Ross County.

The Kirkcaldy men could also have a new player on board with manager Grant Murray hoping to add a SPL striker to his squad on loan.

Murray said: "I have a nice selection headache to have for a massive game like this as some players, who have been on the fringes of things, gave me food for thought with their displays at Ross County.

"We missed these games last season when Dunfermline were in the SPL as they are big occasions and everyone wants to be involved."
