DUNFERMLINE v INVERNESS - Match Preview

We'd understand if you scored an own goal tomorrow Craig...know what I mean...nudge, nudge and all that...
Its been said about a thousand times this week already, but I'll say it once again; the Pars face five cup finals in a bid to stave of relegation!!!

I've already made my impassioned plea to any stay-away Par fans who have failed ot urn up at East End in recent weeks, months. Others - namely supporters groups spokesmen and women - have also asked the fans to turn out in numbers in the Dunfermline Press. All we can do now, is watch and wait for the thousands to flock in and pack East End Park to the rafters...aye right!

No-one expects a full house tomorrow but even if there is just a slight improvement in the attendance then that'll do. As long as everyone who is there in the Pars end gets behind the Pars from start to finish then we can't ever be accused of letting the team down when they need us most.

With Lee Makel and Aaron Labonte possibly fit to return along with Andy Tod the squad is once beginning to look more healthy than it has in recent months - leaving just Nicholson and Shields kicking their heels (although that would probably aggravate the injury) on the sidelines. The majority of the players are fit, so the usual excuses and spin can't be sprafed by the Pars heirarchy. If the players have the bottle then now is time to deliver. The fans will - hopefully - turn out in force and all we are asking for is fightm, the same fight that was evident against Rangers last week. If any side knows how to dig deep and get stuck in it's Caley. So fight fire with fire! No long ball guff, no passing back to Stillie every two minutes, just get stuck right in, pressing and fighting for every single challenge.

I'll stop short of delivering any Braveheart-esque speech - although, it has to be said, there are similarities - but all I'll say is that if we are to survive then three points are an absolute MUST this Saturday. Ahead of next week's crucial game at Almondvale anything less than three points will surely be a failure!

COME ON YE PARS!!!!!!!!!!!
