Dunfermline V Falkirk at East End Park - Match Preview

Late call on Gallacher

Dunfermline will give goalkeeper Paul Gallacher until the last minute to prove his fitness for the clash with Falkirk.

The former Scotland international has spent almost three weeks on the sidelines with an injured ankle.

Defender Callum Morris definitely misses out through suspension with everyone else fit and available.

Assistant manager Gerry McCabe is looking for his side to put off-field financial problems behind them and serve up a Christmas cracker.

He said: "It has been a difficult period with negative headlines but we can now get back to playing football.

"Falkirk are coming here with four wins behind them so they will be full of confidence, but we know that if we can play like we can we can win."

Falkirk manager Steven Pressley has a suspension-free and fully-fit squad to choose from.

Pressley's young squad are in their best form of the season and claimed a 4-1 win against Airdrie on Saturday, with technical director Alex Smith looking forward to seeing how they cope with the Pars.

Smith said: "This is a huge game and one where our youngsters will learn a lot.

"There will be a passionate atmosphere and they are playing a good side but we are going into it with a bit of momentum behind us.

"A win could lift us into the top half of the table which would be a great platform for us to build on during the early months of 2013."
