Dunfermline V East Fife at East End Park - Match Preview

Kane unable for Pars

Dunfermline are without Chris Kane through suspension as they look to complete a momentous week for the club by defeating neighbours East Fife.

Supporters Group Pars United have now taken over the running of the club and a home win would be the perfect way to usher in a new era.

Manager Jim Jefferies said: "The club is in good hands and it would be great to get on with things on the pitch positively now. East Fife have a number of experienced players who will relish a game like this.

"We lost 4-0 to Forfar a couple of weeks ago but hopefully we have learnt from that."

East Fife will give late fitness tests to midfield pair Paul Willis and Stephen Hughes as they look to keep an unbeaten record at East End Park that stretches back to October 1978.

New Bayview manager Willie Aitchison knows what his side must do if they are to avoid defeat.

He said: "We are losing far too many soft goals and we have to cut that out of our game. This league is so tight that you cannot afford to be giving goals away and then chasing games.

"Dunfermline will have taken a boost from their fans taking ownership this week and we need to be ready for that."
