DIEGO ARRIVES AT EAST END

After months of speculation and uncertainty, Diego Maradona Jnr (far right) today arrived at East End Park for training with the first team squad.

In a mid-morning training session at East End Park, dozens of journalists and photographers turned up to witness the son of the Argentinian legend attempt to impress the Pars management team.

Despite looking slighty unfit, Diego Jnr showed a good amount of skill and technical ability in his first training session with the Pars.

Maradona was joined by fellow trialist, and former Italian U-19 internationalist, 23 year-old Cosenza striker Emanuele Catania (top left). Out of the two Catania seemed to impress the most, looking skillful and assured.

In an afternoon press conference Jim Leishman confirmed that the Pars were impressed by their first look at Maradona and Catania.

'Big Jim' also laughed off suggestions that Maradona Jnr was here simply to improve his English saying "There are plenty of other places you could go to learn English other than Dunfermline!"
