DEREK STILLIE RE-SIGNS

After rejecting several contract offers before the end of last season, Derek Stillie has performed a sensational u-turn and signed a new three-year contract at East End Park.

In a move that will delight Pars fans (well, the vast majority anyway) Stillie, a virtual ever-present last season has committed his future to the Pars after talks with Jim Leishman and Davie Hay.

After dislodging Marco Ruitenbeek from the No.1 spot in November 2002, Derek has never looked back, making the Pars goalie jersey his own aswell as pushing himself into the international set-up - a stiuation that may now improve since a certain manager has now moved to Aberdeen!

Stillie's performances last season brought much praise for the keeper, particularly his world-class display against Celtic in the memorable 2-1 victory at Celtic Park near the end of the season.

With the vast majority of the Pars squad remaining at East End Park and a proven manager now in charge at the club, the new season appears to be shaping up to be as memorable as the last for Pars fans.
