CELTIC v DUNFERMLINE - Match Preview

Last updated : 11 March 2005 By Pars Mad
The Pars up against Celtic in a slightly more important fixture between the sides last season.
The Pars players and less fans than you could fit in a mini travel to Celtic Park on Saturday faced with the unenviable task of getting back to winning ways after run of three games without a win. With the prospect of relegation ever looming - the Pars now sitting four points above bottom spot - a win at Celtic Park - a place where the Pars have, in the past, pulled off some memorable victories - would be a perfect springboard for the run-in ahead.

TEAM NEWS

PARS - The Pars travel to Celtic Park on Saturday missing a total of nine first-team players. Talk about an uphill task! I've heard of the gods conspiring against you but this is taking the severe piss! In defence the Pars will be without captain Scott Thomson, youngster Aaron Labonte and long-term injury victim Greg Shields. In midfield the Pars will be withotu recent signing Lee Makel, the injury-jinxed Derek Young and influential midfielder Gary Mason - one of the Pars most consistent performers this season. In attack the Pars have to do without new signing Georgi Hristov, Noel Hunt and Billy Mehmet leaving Jesper Christiansen as the only recognised fully-fit striker on the Pars books. On the plus side however, Andrius Skerla could return for the Pars after his transfer move fell through.

Possible Starting XI - Stillie; Ross, Scullion, Skerla, Wilson; Darren Young, Nicholson, Donnelly, Campbell; Tod, Christiansen.
