After consulting medical staff Barry Nic has decided to undergo a hernia operation on Monday consequently ruling him out of the remainder of the Pars relegation battle.
"I'm realistic to know my season is over," said Nicholson, "This is a total nightmare for the team and myself especially as our next two games are crucial if we are to avoid relegation. I need to have the operation."
With the Pars in grave danger of spiralling out of the SPL, and the midfield options looking thinner by the day, the loss of Barry will undoubtedly hit the Pars hard in the coming weeks.
Lacking Baz's influence and creativity the Pars battle to avoid the drop has all of a sudden looked that much harder.
