AND THE DECISION IS...ERM...DUNNO!

To stay or not to stay?
After weeks of waiting for a decision on the much-maligned plastic pitch, the waiting will go on - for, by all accounts, at least three weeks.

With the Pars, UEFA and FIFA representives all putting their case forward for the pitch in front of the SPL board - containing chairman Lex Gold, Eddie Thompson and John McClelland (both huge cynics of the pitch) to name but three - the board have asked for time to deliberate over the decision.

Quite why the decision will take up to three weeks is beyond me. Why not just examine the evidence, have a discussion and come to a decision - surely that wouldn't take long!

If I was being cynical then I might suggest that the SPL are waiting to see which division the Pars will playing their football in next season. You wouldn't bet against the pitch being sanctioned if the Pars were to drop down to the First Division would you?! The SPL look like martyrs in front of football's 'big boys' but they still don't need to deploy the pitch in the SPL. Clever, eh!

But I wouldn't dream of suggesting something like that...
